We’re very excited to announce that your local Best Friends Pets, My Pet Warehouse or Pet City store will soon be a PetO store! In fact, you may have seen some of them change over already (you can’t miss the big blue signs and buildings!). 

Everything you love is still here, including your friendly local team. You might not know who PetO are or know us very well, so here are a few fun facts for you to get to know us better! 

  1. We’re proud to be a local, family-owned and run business by brothers Nick Greenhalgh and David Rowe, since 2007 – and still are today! 
  1. On July 1st 2024, PetO acquired 41 divestment stores which were previously Best Friends Pets, My Pet Warehouse and Pet City stores. Before this date, PetO had 17 stores in Sydney and we now have 58 stores nationally! 
  1. All our team members love animals and are here to help! You won’t just get trusted expert advice, our team will even carry your shopping to the car for you.
  1. Did you know you can bring your pets into all stores? We’re a friendly pack and welcome all pets big and small. Visit us in store to make new furry friends or see old ones (plus pet cuddles and treat-Os are free of charge!).
  1. Our stores are all located with easy, ample parking to make it convenient for you (and your pet) to visit us! 
  1. We support local rescues and animal charities with a strong belief in “think adoption first” – so we don’t sell live animals in stores. Keep up to date with us for in-store adoptions 
  1. Have you met Doug and Cleo? Doug is our Chief Excitement Officer and Cleo is our Chief Feline officer – you’ll be seeing them around as we chat more and more with you as PetO, Australia’s Largest Dog & Cat Store!

  1. What will happen to my store/loyalty credits?

Your store and loyalty credits won’t be changing. If you notice any issues or if you’re missing credits, just reach out to us at [email protected], and our friendly team will be happy to assist you.


  1. Will the prices be changing?

Not at all! In fact, we’ve already lowered our prices, so you’re enjoying great savings every day! At PetO, we’re committed to giving you the best choice of products at the lowest prices, day in and day out. We regularly check prices to stay competitive, and with our Price Guarantee, if you find a cheaper price within 20km of your local store—even if it’s on special — we'll match it!

  1. Will I still be able to get my favourite products?

Yes, you will still be able to get your favourite products in-store. At PetO we stock over 25,000 products for all your pets’ needs. We’re constantly introducing new products to our range, so keep an eye out!     


  1. Can I order online? (Click & Collect, 2 hour delivery, home delivery) 

Coming soon! We're in the process of launching online ordering, so you’ll be able to enjoy Click & Collect, 2-hour delivery, and home delivery in no time!


  1. Why are there no live pets in-store? 
 

No, PetO does not sell live animals, as we firmly believe in "think adoption first." We’re committed to supporting animal rescue and adoption efforts. Occasionally, we partner with local rescues for in-store adoption events, so be sure to sign up for our email newsletters to stay updated on when these special events are happening!
